A picture of Machu Picchu caught Miyako's attention when she was a kid. Since then the world map has been her best friend.

Miyako was born in Japan. Her first international trip was at the age of 13 when she headed to Minnesota as an exchange student. In 1994 she relocated to Winnipeg, Canada with only two bags and a desire to experience the real Canada. This became her second life changing experience. Miyako enjoys adventure travel because it isn't always easy. She loves mingling with locals and other travelers and she enjoys observing other cultures.
