Take the a local boar to Cai be where you have the opportunity to visit workshops for candy, rice or paper making. We will also visit the historic Kiet Old House, Sa Dec, the local market, Cao Dai Temple. and the house of Mr Huynh Thuy Le.
Sa Dec is where french write Marguerite Duras spent part of her youth. The house of Mr Huynh Thuy Le is said to be the inspiration for Duras' novel 'The Lover'.
Along the Mekong River, visit the town of Tan Chau. Unspoiled by tourism you can visit silk-making and rattan mat workshops on trishaws. Take a boat tide through narrow channels of the Mekong River to 'Evergreen Island'.
The day will end arriving in Phnom Penh.
This morning you can visit the history of Cambodia at the infamous Killing Fields and Khmer Rouge detention centre, or shop of unique treasures at the Central Market.
The afternoon is spent onboard the AmaDara taking a city tour and end with a visit to the Royal Palace, Silver Pagoda and National Museum.
The evening will feature Khmer folk dancing onboard the AmaDara.
Oudong is Cambodia's former capital and is now a place of pilgrimage for Cambodian's. Here experience a Buddhist Blessing Ceremony, ride in an oxcart through a local village and take a Tuk Tuk ride in Phnom Penh.
Sailing to the Silk Island, the Okngatey Village has a rich tradition of Silk Weaving. Observe these handicrafts being created and visit a local school.
During your morning walking tour of Angkor Ban experience a village of Cambodia. In the afternoon set sail for Kampong Cham for an afternoon excursion to the Twin Mountains. You evening will feature a festive farewell dinner onboard the AmaDara.
Your cruise concludes in Kampong Cham, where you are transferred to the airport in Siem Reap.
