Dean Nelson Dean Nelson Travel Expert

Born in the heart of the Canadian Rockies a sense of adventure and exploration has always coursed through my veins.

Travel should feel affirming, effortless, and unforgettable — and that is exactly what I aim to create for every client. With more than 25 years of experience in tourism management, I bring a rare mix of luxury service, community leadership, and meticulous organization to the journeys I design.

For 13 years, I led the award-winning Whistler Pride and Ski Festival, one of the world’s largest queer-focused ski weeks. I also founded Pride House, the first LGBTQ+ pavilion at the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games, helping build a global movement for inclusion in sport. My work has been recognized with an Honorary Doctor of Laws from Thompson Rivers University, IGLTA’s Pioneer Award, and Travel Gay Canada’s 2017 recognition as Canada’s LGBT Tourism Leader of the Year.

Today, I curate luxury cruises, adventure journeys, culinary and wellness escapes, and solo and group experiences for LGBTQ+ travelers and allies who want more than a vacation — they want a trip that feels safe, stylish, and beautifully executed from start to finish.

Here are some pictures of my adventures!
