The Evolution of Family Travel: Embracing Modern Vacations

The Evolution of Family Travel: Embracing Modern VacationsAs a child, my earliest memories of family vacations are interwoven with images of my mom meticulously planning our adventures, library books stacked high on the table, and travelers checks safely tucked into her fanny pack. Those trips, particularly our first journey to Walt Disney World, were crafted with such love and dedication, sparking a lifelong passion for travel in me. Today, as we navigate the demands of modern life, the essence of family travel has transformed dramatically, and for the better. At Personal Travel Management, ...

Exploring Mexico City

Wow why did I wait so long to visit Mexico City. Seriously, what a fabulous city. I see now why it’s been recently voted as the number 1 cultural city in the world. I choose to fly Aeromexico to Costa Rica for Spring break with a 4-night layover in Mexico City.Upon arrival at the airport, we used Uber which was very convenient and inexpensive. We stayed near Alameda Central Park in the historic area, we felt very safe walking and exploring Alameda, La Condesa and the Roma districts.Yes, like all big cities there are the tourist friendly safe areas & the areas to avoid. I was surprised at ...

When it comes to expedition cruising, there's one company that stands out above the rest – Lindblad Expeditions. As a seasoned travel agent and an avid explorer, I've had the privilege of experiencing Lindblad's magic firsthand. Last November, my husband and I embarked on a 23-night cruise to Antarctica, South Georgia, and the Falkland Islands, and it was nothing short of extraordinary.Antarctica had always held a special place in my heart, and when the opportunity arose to explore it with Lindblad, I couldn't resist and of course I had to have my husband be a part of this incredible adventur...

Travel Tip - Providing payments

This is one of the best scams I’ve heard about. You arrive at your hotel and check in at the front desk. Typically when checking in, you give the front desk your credit card (for any charges to your room). You go to your room and settle in. All is good. The hotel receives a call and the caller asks for (as an example) room 620 - which happens to be your room. The phone rings in your room. You answer and the person on the other end says the following: 'This is the front desk. When checking in, we came across a problem with your charge card information. Please re-read me your credit card number...

Postcards share a world of unique and amazing experiences

Our amazing travel agents travel. Here they share with you some of where they have been, what they did and their impressions! I (Anna Meckling) lived in Yellowknife, Northwest Territories, for more than 10 years and my little Fly Girl Abby was born there! When we return, it’s always fun to visit one of the best and definitely the oldest restaurant in the Old Town, The Wildcat Cafe. Circa 1937, you can still enjoy a meal with fresh local ingredients like Arctic Char caught right there in Great Slave Lake! Me (Robyn Freels) on the summit of Mauna Kea on the Big Island (Hawaii) Everest Base Camp...
