Explore Madrid
Your guide will take you on a short walking tour of Madrid. This will orientate you with the city and give you details on how you can spend the remainder of your day.

Day 3 - September 18, 2019
Madrid/Sarria
Hop onboard a train to Sarria. You will have time to explore Sarria.
In the Galicia region Sarria is known as the Antique capital. Browse the stores of quirky furniture and historic art.

Day 4 - September 19, 2019
Sarria/Portomarin
Start your hiking today! You will hike from Sarria to Portomarin.
Your 23km walk today will take you through some lovely towns and you will have a choice of locations to stop for a picnic.

Day 5 - September 20, 2019
Portomarin/Palas de Rei
Hiking from Portomarin to Palas de Rey today will take you through some fantastic scenery with rich history.
There will be some ups and downs today on the 22km hike.

Day 6 - September 21, 2019
Palas de Rei/Melide
Continue today walking through rural Spain. Your hike today is 15km giving you time to enjoy the lush green valleys of Galicia and for rest stops in the little villages and towns you will pass through.

Day 7 - September 22, 2019
Melide/Arzua
With only 13km of walking today you have plenty of time to enjoy the forest track you will be taking. Visit the village of Boente and the church of Santiago. You will also pass through Ribadiso, a scenic medieval village. Upon arrival in Ribadiso visit the churches of Santa maria and A Magdalena.

Day 8 - September 23, 2019
Arzua/Salceda
Pretty woods, sleepy village and crossing streams will be your hike today. The distance is 23km and will give you the opportunity to visit the Statue of Santiago in the Chapel of Santa Irene and Rua.

Day 9 - September 24, 2019
Salceda/Santiago de Compostela
Today is your final day of walking - 14km. Leave early so that you can experience the pilgram's mass in Santiago de Compostela.
Along the walk enjoy the scenery before you see the baroque, painted towers of the cathedral. Ensure to celebrate your accomplishment with some wine in a cafe and make time to visit the Plaza Obradoiro.
